On Saturday, April 30th, Art Church Members Circle will meet this month on the Black Moon.
A Black Moon marks the second New Moon in April. Black Moon is a term coined as the flip side of the Blue Moon, which occurs once every two to three years, while a Black Moon occurs about once every twenty-nine months.
At this auspicious and rare New Moon, we will reflect on the archetype of “the Shadow." Approaching the subject of the shadow, think of three or so of your most positive qualities and then name the opposite of each quality. The embodiment of those opposites may be your shadow. The Shadow can also be a personal fear or something unsharable. Fearlessly, bring your whole self, including your shadow, to Art Church, along with your journal and art supplies, to create, liberate and empower self-acceptance. Sharing your reflections about your art, your intention and the theme of the New Moon, is warmly invited. Making art about the shadow can turn the subjective, mental realm, into the objective, observable reality where darkness can be examined in the light of compassion and forgiveness.
Alex & Allyson Grey invite you to CoSM Monthly Members Art Church. Zoom Meeting Code will be sent by 6pm EST on 4/30.
Please note, the Zoom Meeting will be recorded & may be used in future promotional material.
