Being diagnosed with cancer, in active treatment, or in a survivorship phase is challenging. Along with the physical elements of a cancer diagnosis and treatment, the mental health component is an invisible scar that many have for the rest of their lives.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we are partnering with CancerCare to highlight the journey through the ups and downs of cancer and mental health challenges, coping skills, and resources. This program will be interactive, with an opportunity to ask an oncology social worker questions you may have about mental health. Like all GRYT Health programs, this event is free, but registration is required.
GRYT Health always strives to create a safe space for tough conversations, especially for a program on sensitive topics, like mental health.
