2021 Family & Group Child Care Conference: Sleepless in America

It is estimated that 60 % of Americans are wired and tired. Too exhausted to behave well and unable to sleep. Come learn practical strategies for supporting children and families in your program as well as helping you and your own family get the sleep they need and deserve.

Participants will be able to: 1. Recognize the signs of sleep deprivation and its impact on children's behavior. Know how much sleep children need. 2. Apply effective strategies for enhancing and protecting children's sleep including a review of existing program schedules and policies. 3. Develop tools for working with parents and the broader community to promote the importance of sleep thus helping all families and staff get the sleep they need.
