College Applications: What To Do Before the Beach
Summer is around the corner. What do you need to do for your college applications before you hit the beach? Hear from two experienced college counselors.


Cherise Ogle
Cherise Ogle is the Associate Dean of College Counseling at The Weber School in Atlanta, GA. Over her now 19 yrs of experience in higher education she has worked as an Assistant Dean of Admission at Hofstra University and as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Oglethorpe University. After leaving Oglethorpe, Ms. Ogle created the Center for Educational Planning, a college consulting business. Through her consulting business she volunteered her time at Langston Hughes HS in South Fulton. Following her time at Langston Hughes HS; she became the first college advisor at Westlake HS, where she remained for four years. After leaving Westlake Ms. Ogle then served as the Director of College Counseling at the Atlanta Jewish Academy. She has remained an active member in both NACAC, SACAC, is the Chair of the Atlanta National College Fair, and served in a key leadership role in the creation of NYSACAC’s Camp College Program.

Alyssa Frank Reichman
Alyssa Frank Reichman is the Director of the Schawbel College Resource Center at Boston Latin School, the oldest public school in the United States. She entered college admissions in 2010, when she joined the Fordham University Office of Undergraduate Admissions where she worked for five years. Alyssa is the chair of the NEACAC Current Trends Committee, and has presented sessions on college admissions topics at the NYSACAC, NEACAC, and NACAC Conferences. Alyssa received her Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies from Barnard College, and holds Masters Degrees from New York University in Public Administration and Hebrew and Judaic Studies.
