Somersworth Democrats 2021 Caucus!

All registered Democrats who are residents of Somersworth (and any Dem-curious Hilltoppers-at-Heart who want to join and observe) are hereby invited to our bi-annual caucus!

In addition to elections for the positions listed below, we will recap some of the projects we've been involved with in the past two years, celebrate our wins, and — once elections have happened, the newly-elected Committee leaders will share how we can collaborate to fulfill our Purpose, as defined by our bylaws:

Our Purpose: To improve the quality of life, happiness, and well-being of all persons, but most especially residents of the City of Somersworth, through the democratic process of the government. All activities, programs, and undertakings of the Somersworth Democrats shall be for the public good and to further the purpose, goals, and objectives of the Democratic Party.

Every two years, we hold a caucus to elect our leaders and representatives from Somersworth to the big state convention, where voting happens for statewide platform and other issues.

Any registered Democrat who lives in Somersworth is eligible to run for any position, and are also eligible to vote for all positions.

Elections to be held for the following positions:

Executive Committee:
Chair
Vice Chair
Secretary
Treasurer

Delegates to state convention: Duties of these delegates include being able to attend, as a voting member, the statewide convention of NH Dems, typically held on a Saturday in the fall (2021 date not yet announced).
