Join us on Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings, for metabolic strength training, cardio training, drumstick and kickboxing choreography... sometimes any or all of the above! ALL fitness levels are welcome!
Metabolic strength training can be used for a wide range of individuals and fitness levels because the benefits can range from weight loss to an increase in power. For those looking to lose weight, metabolic training will help increase the caloric burn during the workout as well as increase your metabolism after you finish so your body is continuing to burn calories beyond the time we spend together during each session. For those trying to increase strength and power, metabolic training is a good way to overload the muscles and build the work capacity needed to take your strength training to the next level.
Drumsticks and Kickboxing choreography are some of our favorite "sneaky" workouts--because they are simply fun...and then we realize afterwards that we got a great workout while we did those moves! ...and, not to mention, who doesn't love great music?!
Will you scorch calories and tone muscles? Absolutely... But more importantly, through Forward Fit, we won't just be toning muscle. We'll be training hearts from the inside, out. Welcome to a space where you'll connect with community, hear truth, and feel LOVE...all while you break a little sweat.
Bring a pair of hand-weights*, your drumsticks**, water, a mat (optional), and a willing spirit.
*It is recommended for you to start with a pair of 5# or 8# hand-weights... If you have strength already built up, you may increase those weights to 10#, 12#, or perhaps 15# hand-weights. Greater than 15# weights are not recommended for this class.
**If you don't have a pair of drumsticks, they are available for purchase--just let me know! Otherwise, a pair of paint stir sticks or wooden spoons works great!
