With many transit providers operating in the greater Boston region, there are sometimes gaps in convenient service that mean riders may still struggle to make the necessary connections to get where they want to go or to make those trips quickly and easily. This informal hour-long session, facilitated by Boston Region MPO staff, will provide transit operators with an opportunity to begin the process of closing those gaps by discussing their experiences helping customers make trips across jurisdictional or service-area boundaries; providing first-and-last-mile connections between services or to major destinations; and identifying needs and issues related to making connections. This discussion will also provide MPO staff with data to inform the creation of the Needs Assessment for the MPO’s upcoming Long-Range Transportation Plan (https://www.bostonmpo.org/lrtp).
We will reserve spots for the first 30 attendees who register who are affiliated with an organization or municipality that operates transit, a TMA, or a transit-supporting government agency. If there are fewer than 30 registrants that meet these criteria, we will provide spots to other registrants in order of their registration.
Target audience: transit providers, municipalities
Please note: if you receive a message that the event is full but still want to register, please email email@example.com. We will consider additional registrants on a case-by-case basis.
