There are many types of programs in place to support a child with special needs, and there are support groups for parents and grandparents who need guidance in navigating the challenges of raising a child with special needs. However, there is another group that also needs assistance, and that is siblings. Parents understand why they need to focus attention on their child diagnosed with a special need but at the same time parents also agonize over what impact this is having on the siblings in the family. There may be feelings of guilt, neglect or even inadequacy. What can parents do to support their other children, the siblings?
Join Dr. Jeff Lichtman in this special Tourette Talk where he will discuss what the research shows and talk about the ways you can support siblings.
