UWF Book Club

All are Welcome! The focus of this Book Club will be to read, share and discuss books every month (starting in September thru June) that address issues of racism. We have chosen books that will help us (and in the words of Ms. Andris Salter, the Operations Officer for the UMW Reading Program) to better understand and participate in God’s mission today, to increase sensitivity to all human beings, to explore contemporary issues, and to enhance and act on self-knowledge. In particular, the Reading Program committee has worked to select books that will raise the consciousness of our social, economic, and political realities, including the interconnectedness of race, class, and gender in women’s lives.

When: The second Friday of the month from 1PM – 2PM.
