Beyond Data Privacy Training

We go beyond training in the third installment of the “Data Privacy Best Practices Training for Libraries” train-the-trainer series and dive into three important areas for any library privacy program: privacy risk management, vendor procurements and contracts, and patron programming. Participants will learn how to identify and assess data privacy risks at their library, as well as the vendor selection process. We will dig into contracts to locate privacy red flags and how to minimize patron privacy risks with vendor agreements. We will also discuss how to approach working with patrons in giving them the tools and knowledge they need to protect their privacy at the library and beyond.

Note – This series will include suggested readings and exercises to complement each webinar. Participants are also highly encouraged to take part in the privacy discussions on Basecamp.
