Bath for Europe is delighted to announce that Peter Oborne will be joining us virtually to talk about ‘The Assault on Truth’. Peter will share his thoughts on how and why lying has reached industrial levels in the political sphere, with the result that democracy is under threat. Described by The Guardian as ‘a merciless account of Johnson’s mendacity’, Peter’s latest book ‘The Assault on Truth’ (published in February 2021)
Peter Oborne is an award-winning journalist, writer and broadcaster who has written for a range of national newspapers and media platforms from The Telegraph, where he was political editor until his resignation in 2015, the Daily Mail and Spectator to The Guardian, Middle East Eye and Open Democracy. Additionally, among other works, he is the author of ‘The Triumph of the Political Class’ and ‘The Rise of Political Lying.’
