Earlier this year the Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) and the MassCyberCenter, both divisions of the MassTech Collaborative, partnered with the associations listed below to assess the cybersecurity needs of provider organizations and inform improvement strategies over the coming year. One of the core learnings from this assessment was the desire for a monthly healthcare cybersecurity call where representatives from the public and private sectors could provide a threat update and lead a discussion around cybersecurity best practices for provider organizations.
Joining the calls will be Ron Ford from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. As the Cybersecurity Advisor for CISA's New England region, Ron brings the federal perspective and a deep familiarity of the specific cybersecurity challenges faced within our region. For the first iteration of this call, there will be a general discussion on threat sharing following Ron’s update.
MeHI and the MassCyberCenter partnered with the Association for Behavioral Healthcare, the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, LeadingAge Massachusetts, Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association, Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, Massachusetts Medical Society, and Massachusetts Senior Care Association to develop and circulate the Baseline Cybersecurity of Massachusetts Healthcare Providers Survey.
