Nutrition and Food Planning as we Age
Join us for our November Lunch ‘n’ Learn and gain an understanding of how our nutrition needs change as we age and face different health concerns. Whether you are a senior, a care partner, or an aging adult, you’ll love the tips shared in this power hour. Our experts will educate you on how to creatively cook for one (or two) and navigate rising food costs on a budget. Have your questions answered by our experts during a Q&A at the end of the presentation.
Our Panelists:
Erika Halbauer is Registered Dietitian with a passion for real food enjoyed with friends and family. She currently works at Telus Health Care Centre and WestView Primary Care Network but has also enjoyed working in a variety of areas including acute care, long-term care and health promotion. Erika is dedicated to using evidence-based nutrition information to help people harness the power of food through all life stages.

Lisa Lindquist is a chef, working with a team of Dietitians and health care professionals at Revive Wellness/My Viva Plan. Her role with Revive Wellness involves creating recipes, resources and cooking tutorials for Revive’s digital health program, My Viva Plan. Along with her work in the field of nutrition, she has also worked in the restaurant industry as well as with the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen.

Nancy Ziarko is a retired teacher with a Bachelor of Education Degree majoring in Home Economics (Foods & Nutrition and Fashion Studies).
Over the past 15+ years, she has been the primary care partner for her mother, who recently passed at 100 years of age. Nancy is passionate about finding creative ways that her education, career & experiences can provide assistance to others.
