Training: SSI, SSDI, and Long COVID
Join The Health and Housing Consortium for an important joint training on Social Security Insurance (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and benefits for Long COVID patients. Long COVID refers to when people experience COVID-19 symptoms and do not fully recover for months after their COVID diagnosis. This can lead to debilitating symptoms, long term health concerns, and an inability to resume work. The first part of the session, led by Anne Callagy from The Legal Aid Society, will be an overview of SSI/SSDI benefits, eligibility, the application process, and more. Following this overview, Barbara B. Comerford and Carlissa Prettyman from The Law Offices of Barbara B. Comerford will share information to help staff advocate for disability benefits for their clients/patients with Long COVID.

This training is intended for clinicians, social workers, case managers, and advocates.
