Affordable Housing in Brookline and Beyond: GBIO Training Series
The GBIO Brookline Housing Affordability Team is offering a series of six training sessions focusing on affordable housing.  These sessions are designed to give you the information you need around affordable housing issues ranging from a broad overview to a deep dive into the most important issues we face. When appropriate, you’ll hear about specific, immediate actions you can take to help expand affordable housing in Brookline and beyond.  
 
- All training sessions are free
- They will occur approximately twice monthly (in May-June and in September).  
- You can attend one, some, or all sessions. 
- All sessions will be offered online through Zoom and will be recorded. 

Session 1: Monday May 16, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Introduction - A broad overview of the housing crisis: how we got here, defining "affordable housing" and a look at the affordable housing landscape.

Session 2: Tuesday, May 31, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
All Things Zoning

Session 3: Tuesday, June 14, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Brookline Housing Authority, Brookline Improvement Coalition Housing, and Fair Housing

Session 4: Tuesday, June 28, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Private/Nonprofit Subsidized Housing and Affordable Housing Development

Session 5: Monday, September 19, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Brookline's Political Ecosystem for Affordable Housing

Session 6: Wednesday, September 28, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Organizing to promote the expansion and preservation of affordable housing
