Moving From the Head to the Heart: Integrating the Six Perfections in Daily Life
The Sanskrit word for perfection is paramita, which literally means "gone beyond." The six perfections are the practices of bodhisattvas, holy beings who have completely renounced the narrow limitations of ego-identity; they have transcended selfish concerns and cherish only others. Bodhisattvas are those who wish to free all beings from suffering and strive to attain enlightenment in order to be able to do so. To achieve that goal a bodhisattva trains in the paramitas of giving, ethics, patience, joyous effort, concentration, and wisdom. Please join us as Geshe-la explains how we can integrate the six perfections into our spiritual practice and our daily lives so we can reap the benefits of connecting with these insights here and now as a support for our own spiritual growth. Open to and appropriate for all levels of students.
