In this live Zoom presentation, Dra. Marisol Flores will discuss Costa Rica’s highly regarded health care system and its response to the Covid-19 pandemic, from the earliest days in 2020 through the current vaccination campaign. Dra. Flores is a professor of pharmacy, a consultant on pharmaceutical regulation in Costa Rica, and a principal in a program to promote proper disposal of used and excess drugs. She is also a trained sommelier. Dra. Flores has lectured on the Costa Rican health care system to American and international academic and professional groups.
This program is presented in connection with the BMAC ARTravel program, “Art, Craft, and Nature in Costa Rica,” which was originally scheduled for March 2020 and is now rescheduled for December 2021.
