Join the MDSO's first event of the school year: a virtual study of The Student Strike in History. We will review two particularly active moments in US student movement history: the massive strikes and protests against the Vietnam War in 1970 and the Iraq War in 2003. These episodes of heightened student participation in international politics are especially relevant in the context of the end to the US war with Afghanistan and increasing global tensions between imperialist powers. Learning from the past experience of student activism, drawing both positive and negative lessons from history, will help us build a stronger student movement today. Register here to attend the virtual presentation and discussion, and to learn more about our organization's goals for the new school year.
