On May 4, 2021 at 2:00pm ET, AASHTO’s Council on Public Transportation and Multi-State Transit Technical Assistance Program (MTAP) and the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) are jointly hosting an hour-long, online peer exchange for members. This peer exchange is called the State DOT Roundtable with CTAA and will be moderated by Charles Carr, Research Subcommittee Chair; Mississippi DOT. This discussion topic will be:
• How to Best Manage the Obligation and Expenditure of Multiple Funding Streams (Annual and Pandemic Relief through the CARES Act, CRRSAA and ARPA) for Transit.
For the State DOT Roundtable with CTAA, our goals are to learn from state DOTs and transit agencies (1) what strategies are used to manage multiple funding streams funding for transit programs (annual transit apportionments and pandemic relief); and (2) how these sources of funds are expended and obligated quickly, responsibly and equitably among transit programs and transit providers.
We will hear from a panel comprised of members of AASHTO’s Council on Public Transportation/MTAP and members of the Community Transportation Association of America. After the panel discussion, we will give all participants an opportunity to ask questions of the panel, provide their own perspective on this topic and have a dialogue among all peer exchange participants. FTA staff are invited to listen in and participate in the discussion after the panel.
For any questions, feel free to reach out to Richard Price, Associate Program Manager, Transit Policy and Technical Assistance (email@example.com), and Chris Zeilinger, Assistant Director, CTAA (firstname.lastname@example.org).
