What will we do in ‘Falling in a Chair’ class? We will fall. In a chair.
We will practice tuning into the physical sensations of weight pouring, shifting balance, and the internal connection between all parts of the body. We will explore “economy of effort” (what is the least amount of effort I can use to execute any given amount of movement)? This class is geared towards all bodies and levels. Whether you are a professional athlete, dancer, performing artist, couch potato or just beginning to develop a movement practice, this class will offer a space of exploration, discovery, and creation that asks us all to investigate the present moment.
For this class you will need….a chair! A sturdy chair with a back is recommended. A stool will not do the trick.
