COP

WSCC has created a project called the “Community of Practice” (COP) and with
this project we hope to accomplish two goals:
1. Broaden the knowledge and strengthen the skills of those community
members who participated in the Leadership Academy for Families and the
follow up Coach Approach Project with national consultant, Ellen B Kagen.
2. Create a space to train more community members, parents, and family
leaders in the skills and concepts learned through the Leadership Academy
and Coach Approach. In doing this, we will create a broader “Community of
Practice” of family leaders with the skills and knowledge to continue
bringing family voice through adaptive leadership skills to the many
councils and decision-making groups around our state. We will also be
creating a shared language within the Children’s Behavioral Health
Community, sustaining the incredible work done through the Leadership
Academy and Coach Approach Projects, and training new family leaders to
continue the work for years to come.
