Join UUCA for an hour of community, education, and virtual action every Thursday night in May.
Each week in the Justice Power Hour we will focus on a different facet of the intersectional fight for justice by spending one hour together in community on Zoom and then taking virtual actions together. Think of this weekly program as a “sampler platter.” You will get a brief introduction to an issue and then are provided with a wealth of follow up information to go deeper after the conclusion of our time together.
Examples of things we might do: signing petitions, sending emails, making phone calls, creating social media posts, possibly writing postcards. You are not required to do all the things. You get to pick and choose what works for your comfort level. You will continue to have access to the agendas, so you can always come back and do any additional actions. All past agendas can be accessed at https://www.uuca.org/powerhour/
Our scheduled topics are subject to change, especially if an immediate need arises. Some examples of past topics are: Current Legislation, Black Lives Matter, Immigration, LGBTQ+ issues, Climate Change, and more.
We look forward to seeing you!!
