this week, i will be guiding us through a MORNING EXORCISE to grow beyond the external directives of a capitalist, patriarchal, and anti-erotic society to reclaim our whole dancing bodies! open to all who are curious about understanding queer theory & actualizing queer consciousness in the body (no movement experience necessary)! recognizing that so much of my conscious & subconscious thinking, conceptualizations of my own queer identity, and embodiment practices are informed by and indebted to queer black feminist epistemologies & lineages. i will be translating some of these writings & theories around alternative temporalities and the erotic into embodiment practices & movement meditations. MORNING EXORCISE is a commitment to challenge self-policing in our daily lives— knowing that our individual movements and bodies are not at all separate from our broader movements and collective bodies.
50%+ donations will go to @audrelordeproject to support their community organizing work for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two-Spirit, Trans and Gender Non Conforming (LGBTSTGNC) People of Color Communities (receipt will be shared for transparency)
no body turned away due to lack of funds
