CASA Volunteer Information Session
CASA of Gratiot County is a program of Child Advocacy that looks out for the best interests of abused and neglected children as they make their way through the family court system. CASA volunteers are everyday citizens who are empowered to become a voice for abused and/or neglected children in our community.

CASA of Gratiot County’s volunteers complete a 40-hour specialized training on how to advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect. The curriculum includes the following topics: the role of the volunteer, the child welfare system, needs and development of children, trauma, mental health, poverty, professional communication, cultural competence, educational needs, and permanency.

If you would like to learn more about this program or attend our next CASA Volunteer Training, please attend our next Information Session! After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
