Education Influence's Spotlight with Lisa Jones
Join us this March with Lisa Jones speaking at Education Influence's Spotlight with her session, "The Value of Project-Based Learning".

Lisa Jones and Anusha Shrestha invite all teachers and parents to join us for an inspiring evening of education and engagement focused on Project-Based Learning (PBL). PBL is an effective teaching method that helps students develop intellectually and emotionally by using real-world scenarios, challenges, and problems to gain skills that increase during the PBL learning unit. The goal of PBL is to enhance what students are learning by encouraging problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and self-management. By giving students control of their projects, the project's question drives them to make their own decisions, perform research, and learn how to review their fellow students' projects as well as their own.

Many educators believe that PBL is one of the best ways to connect students with the real world. Projects developed using PBL empower both students and teachers to make a difference by applying knowledge. For example, students can develop a sustainable garden, identify and teach communities to recycle, or put a sustainable mentoring system in place to continually help others with their education. Join us for this session to learn more about PBL and gain a fresh new perspective on how it can have a significant impact on student learning.
