Sarah Stewart Holland and Beth Silvers are hosts of the popular podcasts, “Pantsuit Politics” and “The Nuanced Life,” and authors of the book I Think You're Wrong (But I'm Listening). Sarah and Beth are also wives, and mothers with law degrees and experience in both corporate America and on Capitol Hill.
During this event, Sarah and Beth will discuss how healthy disagreement is valuable in any organization and practical ways to draw out, discuss, and work through disagreement – not just in theory, but in practice. They’ve spent thousands of hours on their podcast as a living model, and their work experiences required them to constantly engage people with strongly-held opinions. At the end of this talk, participants will leave with good language to use in meetings and conversations. Sarah and Beth will share their tips for getting unstuck in thorny discussions and their exit strategies for leaving those hard talks.
This program is sponsored through a generous grant from the Sigma Delta Tau Foundation- Empower Circle.
