Lambeth is the largest inner London borough with a diverse and welcoming population of more than 320,000 people. Throughout the height of the pandemic, data was a key ingredient for delivering meaningful insights. Lambeth’s data Team worked with many council departments, the NHS, DHSC and PHE to help fight coronavirus. The lessons we learned will continue to benefit the council in their goal to deliver equitable experiences and outcomes to their residents and communities

* Data is not information. It is only valuable when it provides meaningful insights that help to make informed decisions.
* Align all activity to clear & agreed benefits.
* Be mindful of bias, and where it can't be prevented, understand the impact it might have.
* Empower data consumers to understand what data is telling them and how it should be interpreted.
