The essence of the Mahayana Buddhism is Bodhicitta. Among the many texts, there is one of the most profound text called Bodhicharyavatara (The Guide Of Bodhisattva’s Way Of Life). It was written by the great Indian master, Acharya Shantideva, during the 8th century.
This text compiles ten chapters, where master Shantideva, profoundly explains Bodhicitta, compassion, forgiveness, wisdom, mind training (Lojong) and etc.
To cultivate Bodhicitta, we first need to understand the benefits of developing Bodhicitta. Geshe La will explain this by using chapter one of The Guide Of Bodhisattva’s Way Of Life, “The Benefits of Bodhicitta.”
