Lawrence Hall, South Shore Works and Real Men Charities Inc. are partnering together to bring the South Shore community an array of events to engage, empower, and celebrate those who make a difference. With a different event EVERY Thursday, you will touch on topics like our history, mental health, higher education, healthy eating options and even the opportunity to cook along with a local celebrity chef.
Black History Month 2021 also includes a HBCU/BPI virtual college tour, honoring South Shore legacies on social media, and information about the black legacies of South Shore and Chicago, all culminating into a multimedia experience and cementing a new annual tradition.

February 18th - “Claim Ya Fame” Game Night
Compete in a jeopardy style game night exploring where we came from and claiming where we are going.
February 25th - Virtual Soul Food Kitchen Live
Get your ingredients ready and learn from local chefs as they lead a virtual cooking class where soul food meets whole food.
