Session #1 - 2/11/22 - "High Quality Interactions" with Dr. Jeanne Hopkins. Understand the intricate and invaluable benefits of engaging with and talking with young children of all ages. Controlling children is not how we define teaching. Facilitating learning experiences IS teaching. (CLASS)
Session #2 - 3/11/22 - "The Art of Thoughtful Questioning" with Maggie Charlton. Workshop Summary: This interactive training will focus on how open-ended questions support developing critical thinking skills, provide opportunities for students to make connections to the learning process, and encourage back-and-forth exchanges and conversations. Focus on CLASS dimensions: Regard for Student Perspectives, Concept Development, Quality of Feedback, and Language Modeling.
Session #3 - 4/22/22 - "Building Bonds: Promoting Social-Emotional Learning" with Joetta Camp. Workshop Summary: Children who are motivated and connected to others in the early years of schooling are much more likely to establish a positive path of development in both social and academic domains. Join this session to learn strategies teachers can use to help children build bonds and relationships with others as they play.
