Getting Helpful Listener Feedback
Even in the pre-pandemic world, the parade of “Nice sermon” as people exit the sanctuary has not been very helpful to strengthen preachers’ sermons. It’s even more complicated to get appropriate feedback when worshipers and preachers are connected only by a screen. This workshop will explore the role of the preacher and of the listener in creating faithful and effective sermons, will give concrete examples for getting written feedback, and will explore ways to connect and hear from listeners in virtual and non-virtual settings.

This workshop will be led by Synod Interim Executive Chip Hardwick (Ph.D., Homiletics, Princeton Theological Seminary).
