Seward was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended California College of the Arts in San Francisco and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film in 2014 with high distinction. She was one of six screenwriters to be accepted into the University of California Los Angeles Professional Program for Screenwriting.
As a film director and screenwriter, one of her films entitled “Lilli” was screened at the Cannes International Film Festival Filmmakers Showcase 2015 as a part of the Marche’ Du Film Competition. Her films have also been featured in the Los Angeles Indie Film Festival, Sundance London Film Festival, the Culture Unplugged Festival, the Surgurli International Documentary Festival, I’M Not Gonna Move To: L.A. Film Festival, Miami Urban Film Festival, and the Stockholm SAGA Women's International Film Festival.
Currently, she has a filmmaking fellowship with PBS and her documentary "The Truth" about Hungtington's is broadcasting through to December 31st, 2020.' Her most recent venture was working in the casting department for the award-winning television show “David Makes Man” that airs on OWN Network. In addition, she has had the honor to work with Tom Musca, the director of the Oscar nominated film “Stand and Deliver.”
