Building High Performing Boards: Laying the Foundation

This two-hour training is intended for new board members, current board members, community members who are considering joining a nonprofit governance board, or nonprofit professionals wanting to learn more about nonprofit governing boards.

The presentation by Felicia Goodman, Executive Director of Cooper Foundation, will include the following:
- Legal Duties & Basic Responsibilities of Nonprofit Board Members
- Building a Great Board
- Trends in Board Structure for Leading Organizations

This training will be offered two times each year so that nonprofit boards can ensure that new board members are trained in board governance. The training is a repeat of the two hour board governance trainings held in 2021 and 2022.
