This course will help the student improve their English and writing skills. The course will overview the fundamental parts of speech, sentence structure, phrases, clauses, and various writing styles.
This course is designed to promote English language proficiency for students studying academic disciplines.
This course will also include discussions and methods of organizing research projects.
Because students are co-enrolled in one of the writing intensive courses, those papers will be referenced for the purpose of this course and no additional papers will be required.
Biblical Leadership focus:
In this course, we will explore the transformative leadership characteristics of significant people in the New Testament. We will discuss seven biblical leadership imperatives of John the Baptist and its significance to the ministry movement at the turn of the century. In addition, discussions will also involve gaining an understanding of Biblical Theology. For the first part of this two-part course, the first twelve weeks will focus on the Synoptic Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. The goal of this course is to identify leaders and adopt the leadership strategies outlined in the texts.
