Martine Copeland, born and educated in France, came to the United States as a guest lecturer at the University of South Carolina. She later moved to New York City where she worked on Wall Street and as a real estate broker. Her research in Allen County was sparked by a surname found on a stained-glass window at Saint Louis Besancon Catholic Church. Martine has compiled a database of more than 30,000 people who immigrated from France to Allen County. https://www.genealogycenter.info/search_allencountyfrenchcomp.php
