Teaching 121 - an online HELTA workshop with Emma Cresswell (in cooperation with IH World Organisation)

We’ve seen in recent times how distances can be reduced, or even overcome, by online video conference platforms such as Zoom. Add to this the seemingly never-ending growth of online teaching platforms and websites, there has never been a better time to teach 121 classes online. But how can you make yourself and your classes stand out in an ever-increasing and competitive market?

In this workshop we will be looking at what makes a great 121 teacher, how a 121 class differs from a group class and why teaching 121 may be different online, as well as looking at some very practical activities that you can take straight into your next 121 class.
