The Centre for Law and Democracy (CLD), with support from the Global Media Defence Fund run by UNESCO, is implementing a global project on establishing networks of media lawyers. The goal is to help lawyers working on freedom of expression and media law to create formal professional networks at the national level. Networks of that sort can be invaluable in bolstering legal protection for media freedom, building members’ expertise and collaborating to provide legal defence to journalists and media.
This webinar provides a general introduction to the concept of a media lawyers’ network, steps which can be taken to establish one and resources developed by CLD to support the formation of such networks.
