AP: Yom Ha-Shoah Presentation: Stories of a Child Survivor of the Holocaust with Rozette Kats

Rozette Kats, born in 1942, participated in the first One-by-One Dialogue Group in 1996. She recounted her story of being hidden in Amsterdam as a child. Not long before her parents were deported, they had given her to a non-Jewish couple who raised Rozette, saving her from the fate of her own mother, father and baby brother, who were murdered in Auschwitz.

Ms. Kats was invited to be the keynote speaker at the German Parliament’s annual “Ceremony of Remembrance for the Victims of National Socialism” on Jan. 27, 2023.
