The Gift of Conflict: Decentralizing Our Response to the Inevitable
Conflict is inevitable when human beings are in relationship. When we avoid it, conflict creates barriers to communication and understanding the situations we experience. This training is for ANYONE who wishes to find ways through the field of conflict, to create connection and understanding in order meet the needs of you and your community.

In Restorative Circles practice, each person is equally distant from the center, with the opportunity to share from the heart of their experience.

Our cultural conditioning makes blame and shame an inevitable part of many interactions.

This training will include practices of listening in a variety of ways in order to understand the origins of conflict within ourselves and in our communities. In addition, there will be an overview of the Restorative Circle facilitated process. Young people 12 and over are welcome to attend!

We will discuss the dynamics of conflict, and the reasons conflicts perpetuate. Learn skills that will help you connect in challenging circumstances; listening, empathy, reflecting for meaning, understanding others’ motivations, community response, acceptance, self reflection, mindfulness and more.
Meeting is over, you can not register now. If you have any questions, please contact Meeting host: Sarah-Elizabeth Anderson.
