The waters off Long Island conceal hundreds of shipwrecks. Lying on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean off our south shore and the Long Island Sound to the north are many different types of shipwrecks from all different time periods of American history. In this program, we discuss the fascinating history of shipwrecks from the Revolutionary War through modern times and show the viewer what some of these wrecks look like today underwater. A discussion that highlights some of the marine life that inhabits these artificial reefs is included. This Zoom program will be on Wednesday, July 15th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
