National Mobilization for Reproductive Justice monthly meeting
Learn how you can take part in multi-city actions on October 1 in honor of Rosie Jiménez, the first person known to die of an unsafe abortion after the Hyde Amendment cut off federal dollars for the procedure in 1977. Community rallies will protest reproductive injustices against Latinx communities, such as border separations and inhumane treatment of ICE detainees, including forced sterilization and denial of abortion. The actions will also demand that the Supreme Court uphold the Indian Child Welfare Act in its new session beginning October 3. The meeting will provide background on the Indian Child Welfare Act and evaluate the Mobilization's recent "Fighting for Our Lives" action conference.
