Kathy Ellen Davis is a social media coordinator for NAIBA and a bookstore social media consultant. Kathy Ellen will share strategies for getting a handle on all the possibilities social media offers bookstores and how to build an efficient and dedicated approach to sharing content socially.
Part 1: Creating a content plan: In the first half of the session, we’ll get grounded in your unique values and mission and talk about what each social media platform can do for you. We'll touch on create, capture, and curate, and talk about the type of content you are already sharing and how to use it to build a social media plan, including store-driven themes, events, sales, holidays, new displays, etc. From there, we’ll build a plan that can be extended to weekly and monthly formats. We won’t cover specific scheduling platforms, but will poll our attendees to learn what works for them.
