Americans with Disabilities Act Employment Responsibilities for Employers
In this course, participants will learn the prevalence of disability, employment disparities for people with disabilities, and why access matters. We’ll cover the fundamentals of Title I of the ADA for employers, including employer responsibilities under the ADA, definitions of key terms like “reasonable accommodation,” “essential job function, and “undue burden.” Participants will learn about the interactive process, how to recognize and respond to an accommodation request, types of accommodations that can be considered, what makes an accommodation unreasonable, and the limitations of the ADA.
