MSMR LAB CHAT WINTER SERIES ... Neurodivergent: Developing a culture that understands and supports the wealth of talent hidden within the neurologically divergent community.
In this MSMR LAB CHAT, Jessica Leary, Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects at CRL, discusses common misconceptions surrounding neurodivergence, as well as some of the profound skillsets and traits specific to many within this often-overlooked community.

Jessica will challenge our industry to examine its recruiting and retention practices relative to neurodiversity and inspire the potential to reach a largely un-tapped talent pool filled with candidates who possess ideal professional traits and skillsets.
Prior to joining Charles River Labs as the Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects Executive Manager, Jessica Leary spent nearly twenty years in public education, primarily working directly with and designing programs for students with special needs.

Her specialties included AP biology and AP psychology, as well as designing and implementing programing for graduate students with a Special Education focus.

Jessica has extensive experience incorporating education with the professional marketplace, including designing courses for seniors aspiring to work in biotech by partnering with area companies to inform coursework, offer resources, and directly mentor students.

In her current role with CRL, Jessica is thrilled to have the opportunity to exercise her passion for the special needs community by working to establish a sustainable recruiting pipeline and retention culture for the neurologically divergent talent pool.

This MSMR LAB CHAT will be moderated by Andy Foster.
