Wildlife Rescue: Tranq. & Tag
This short session will ONLY go over the following:

1) What is Xylazine / What does it do for the deer / When is it Required.
2) Filling the Syringe / Dart - Proper Dosage - Safety.
3) Administering the Xylazine - Various Methods.
4) Reacting Time and Length.
5) Deer Rescue Safety.
6) Ear Tagging a Tranquilized Deer.
7) Release or Transport Protocol.

Should you wish to be involved in large mammal wildlife rescues (DEER), you should know when and how to use sedation / tranquilization. Whether it's administered to a deer to minimize the danger to both the animal and the rescue personnel preceding a difficult rescue situation, or to ease the pain and relax a severely or mortally wounded animal, xylazine can be very beneficial; however, it's important to know when the conditions are not good for tranquilizing to eliminate deer for running away before meds take effect, or running into a worst situation.
I will simply run you through the process of when and how to use the tranquilizer, what to expect, simple rescue and transport procedures while animal is sedated, and heavy on the issue of safety.

30 - 40 minutes TOPS, I promise.
