General meeting: Conservation implications of fracking on UT lands in West Texas

This is the first program by the Sierra Club as part of the new collaboration with El Paso Audubon to broaden the reach and topics of our presentations.

Laurence Gibson, retired UTEP music professor, joined the Sierra Club in 1982 and has served as El Paso Group chair for 30 years. This program is an update to 2020's "Fracking Orogrande" presentation at Centennial Museum with an added focus on wildlife impacts of drilling activity. Come learn about the Otero Mesa in Texas and University of Texas land resources.
