In this workshop, brought to you by the Education Council Consortium Data Squad, we will talk about a variety of available data sources to describe how well New York City public schools support culturally responsive education, maintain diverse teacher populations that are representative of the students they serve, practice restorative justice, and equitably allocate resources. We will go into some detail about how to use data about race and enrollment to promote school integration, and discuss how data can be used for advocacy. The workshop will be geared toward parent leaders, community education council members, public school students, and anyone looking for data to support the work to make schools antiracist.
