We are looking forward to seeing you at our next Share and Learn session. This week we will be joined for an online walking for fitness session with qualified personal trainer Ben Cucax. You will follow a series of exercises, including warming up and cool down with stretches. The session will be followed up with resources, including a four-week walking plan and outdoor walking videos, to help you set your own activity goals and build up intensity. This session is supported by Sport England.
Any form of physical exercise or activity can sometimes cause irritations and pain if not practiced attentively and mindfully. For example, make sure you have a safe space around you (no obstacles), take breaks whenever you need to and do as little or as much of the activity as you choose.
Before you undertake any online sessions involving movement and physical activity, you must be happy that you are currently physically and mentally able to undertake the activity and do not attempt something that you are not comfortable with.
By participating in this session, you take responsibility for your activities and your body – Carers UK or the session facilitator does not accept liability for any injuries caused. If you have any current medical conditions/injuries or are pregnant, you may wish to consult your doctor for specific advice before taking part in the session.
This Share and Learn session will be recorded by Carers UK. Recording sessions allows carers who were unable to attend to enjoy the benefits of these sessions. It also allows us to monitor their quality, so we can continue to improve Share and Learn. Please note that only the speaker/facilitator’s section will be publicly shared, but you may be visible if you keep your camera on. If you do not wish to be recorded, you are welcome to turn off your camera/audio during this part of the session. The question and answer section will not be publicly shared.
