2022 Parents' Educational Series Topics:

January 11 (Elementary/Middle school): How to work with school nurses, teachers, and staff.

February 8 (High School/Young Adults): Your Rights in the Workplace. We invite high schoolers and young adults to join us for this session!

March 8 (Birth to Toddler age): Managing toddlers with diabetes: What is normal vs. blood sugar-related behavior and how to help parents cope.

April 12 (Middle/High School): Diabetes and rebellion

May 10 (High School): What parents and college-bound students need to know, including what accommodations colleges must make for your T1D. We invite the high schooler to join us for this session!

June 14 (All Ages): DM in the LGBTQ+ community

July 12 (All Ages): 504 Plans & School Accommodations

August 9 (Birth to Elementary Age): Working with Babysitters, Daycares, and other Childcare providers.

September 13 (Teens/Young Adults): T1D and Rules of the Road, Drugs, and Alcohol. We invite high schoolers and young adults to join us for this session!

October 11 (Middle/High School): Getting over the hump of diabetes burnout. We invite the child/teen to join us for this session!

November 8 (Elementary/Middle School): Mental Health Concerns in your Adolescent T1D.

December 13 (Birth-Elementary): Normal growth and development and how they affect T1D care
