ATS is a transboundary region between Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste which supports a large marine ecosystem that hosts a high biodiversity and contains some of the most pristine and highly threatened coastal and marine ecosystems.
ATSEA-2 Programme is committed to bring important elements to create a regional governance mechanism that strengthens the enabling policies and capacities of institutions and individuals in the four countries. To do so, we call on community-based groups, fisheries sector, women's groups, NGOs, academe, private sector, as well as local and national government agencies to be part of shaping a better future for the ATS.
